13th-16th c., built by the Counts of Veldenz, one of the largest castle complexes in Germany, in the foyer of the tithe barn, St. Remigius (probably 15th/16th c.)

On August 4, 2017, Lichtenberg Castle in Thallichtenberg received a scallop shell stone and an information board.

Likewise, the castle was inaugurated as a pilgrimage station on the Starry Path. On site, pilgrims can spend the night and get food, a pilgrim stamp and information about pilgrimage hiking.
