Getting Europe on the move interculturally with young people
Discourse and painting in the creative workshop of the Saarbrücken-Burbach Center for Vocational Training and Education
The European model project Starry Path/Chemin des étoiles has been accompanied by employment policy measures from the outset. Young people in particular were able to participate in the idea of the project as part of their orientation measures, both in terms of craftsmanship and content under expert guidance. The Zentrum für Bildung und Beruf Saar gGmbH Burbach has a so-called creative workshop. Workshops are regularly offered there in which young people from many nations come together to talk about European values.
The starting point is always being a responsible and open-minded person. Project manager Peter Michael Lupp takes over the moderation and discusses European values with the young people and their instructors as part of the model project. In order to deepen the knowledge gained on a non-verbal sensory level, all participants can also get involved artistically. In this way, new variations of artworks are created in which the special spirit of the intercultural community is embedded. The two instructors Mark Clemens and Ullrich Finkler provide professional support for this emotional artistic process.
