Orig. 12th c.

Within an ecumenical service in the Protestant church in Oberotterbach with the theme: “I am so free - on the way in God’s spirit”, the Protestant church of Oberotterbach received a scallop shell stone and an information board on June 5.

The festive service was musically framed by the brass band of Bad Bergzabern and organized by deacon Roth and pastor Lingenfelder. Following the service, the stone scallop shell was set into the ground in front of the church with a solemn ceremony.

After the service, over a good glass of Oberotterbach wine, there was an opportunity to talk about the Sternenweg and the associated European idea with the initiator and project manager Peter Michael Lupp from the Saarbrücken Regional Association and Karl Unold from the St. James Society of Rhineland-Palatinate-Saarland e.V., who were also guests.
